King’s College GCSE and A Level Results 

In A Levels, currently, 68% of results have received an A*, and 94% have received an A. Over half of the students in the A level cohort—73 students—have received three or more A* grades, and 41 students—over a quarter of the cohort—have received four or more. As of right now, 96% of all results are at A*/A or the IB higher level equivalents (7/6), and 69% of all exams taken by this year group have been graded with an A* or the IB equivalent (higher level 7).

In GCSEs 90% of all exams received grades of 9/8 (equal to an A*), while 73% of all results were given the highest mark possible, 9. At grade 9, 87 students earned a clean sweep of nine or more qualifications.

King’s College Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry 

Competitive exams and interviews that take place in December and January of year six are required for 11+ admission to King’s. You cannot submit an application for both a 13+ and an 11+ entry. All boys are evaluated in year 6, and in February of that year, offers are issued for both the 11+ and 13+ admission points. 2023 King’s College 11+ Exam Format 

December, when boys are in year 6, is when the 11+ admission exams are held. The English, Math, and Verbal Reasoning exams are the three tests offered. The website will begin to feature samples of the English and Math tests in September. Although they are easily accessible through bookshops, we do not offer example papers for reasoning.

Exam accommodations may be made for applicants who have a particular learning disability, a physical or mental impairment, a chronic illness, or for candidates for whom English is a second language in accordance with the Equality Act of 2010. Beyond the Classroom 

There are numerous opportunities for groups to meet during the school week, with extended lunch times on Tuesdays and Thursdays being particularly busy with clubs and societies.

Students run a number of the clubs and organisations at King’s. The responsibility of running a club teaches students organisation, time management, and leadership skills while also motivating them to pursue their interests outside of the classroom. In order to expand the wide choice of activities available, students in the upper and lower fifth can also seek to become CCA Leaders. Succeeding candidates will oversee a number of clubs in our lower school.

King’s College Bursaries and Scholarships 

External Candidates: 

At the 11+, 13+, and sixth forms, the school offers a number of admission bursaries that cover up to 100% of the tuition. Additionally, a bursary grant may include funding for extras like uniforms and field trips. Each year, all bursary applications are put through a means test, and the results may be adjusted upwards or downward based on the financial information presented and the circumstances of the parents.

Internal Candidates: 

Limited bursarial funds are available at King’s College School to help current parents who experience an unanticipated change in their financial situation temporarily. These prizes are contingent upon availability and cannot be ensured.
