The City of London School, sometimes referred to as CLS and City, is a private day school for boys located in the City of London, England, next to the Millennium Bridge and directly across from Tate Modern. The City of London School for Girls and the City of London Freemen’s School are partners with this institution. The City’s Cash provides funds to all three schools. It belongs to the Conference of Headmasters and Headmistresses (HMC). It is one of the nation’s most prestigious and prominent academic institutions. In A-Levels 2022, along with numerous individual successes, the year group as a whole achieved exceptionally high marks, with 91% of students earning A*-A and an astounding 97% of all papers earning an A* or A. In GCSEs 2022, 97% of the students got 7,8 or 9 grades.

2023 City of London 11+ Exam Format 

The age of a student is determined as of the first of the year of planned enrollment. A student must be between the ages of 11 and 12 and have finished Year 6 at their current school in order to qualify for 11+ entrance. By the deadline, all students must have enrolled for our entrance exams. The registration date will be Friday, November 4, 2022 for all applicants for 11+ admission in 2023 (for students born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012). Online registration is required, as is the payment of the non-refundable registration fee. On Friday, December 2, 2022, written exams in English and mathematics will be given.

Beyond the classroom 

The co-curricular programme at the City of London School is remarkable and plays a crucial role in how they work to advance and solidify the goals and beliefs. Broad involvement is strongly encouraged, but there are  resources to cater to the top participants. Their co-curricular curriculum is built around sports, music, drama, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, CCF, volunteer work, and fundraising for charities. The school has an astounding selection of clubs and societies that accommodate every interest. Around midday, students are crammed into lecture halls and classrooms to pursue their many interests and hear lectures by eminent professionals from around the world.
