Bromley High School is an independent day school offering all-girls education for pupils aged 4-18, founded in 1883. The School is located in Bickley, Greater London.The school now educates around 875 pupils. The current headmistress is Angela Drew.

In 2022 GCSEs, 37%  grades A* (9), 60% grades A* (8-9) , 80% grades A*- A (7-9).

In 2022 A Levels, 34%  grades A*, 68% grades A*-A , 91% grades A*-B.

Bromley High School GDST Admissions Guide for 11+ Entry 

You can start the admissions process by filling out our online application form. When applying, a non-refundable registration fee of £125 is due. Early applications are advised since Bromley High School admissions are competitive. All applicants will be contacted for evaluation once the application deadline has passed. Depending on whether you’re applying to the Junior School (Reception and Year 3), Senior School (Year 7) or our Sixth Form, different key admissions dates apply (Year 12).

2023 Bromley High School 11 Plus Exam Format 

Academic scholarship: Academic Scholarship eligibility is automatically determined for all ladies taking the entrance exam. Girls who have shown great promise will be called to an interview for an academic scholarship on January 16th, 2023.

Art scholarship: If an applicant passes the 11+ Entrance Exam, she is qualified to compete for the Art Scholarship. After the entrance exam, those who have been shortlisted will be notified. Applications for portfolios must be digitally submitted. Please deliver your daughter’s work as a 20-slide Powerpoint presentation (excluding title slide). The Art Scholarship Assessment will be held on January 19, 2023, from 9.30 am to 12 pm, and it will include the following:

The girls don’t need to bring anything for the 40-minute sketching assignment. A five-minute informal debate in which participants comment on artistic creations.

Drama: If an applicant passes the 11+ Entrance Exam, she is qualified to compete for the Drama Scholarship. Candidates who have been shortlisted must attend a workshop and audition on January 19, 2023. Candidates will have the chance to collaborate with others on practical exercises throughout the session.

We also suggest that candidates prepare a brief solo performance of no more than two minutes, which will be followed by an informal chat with the department head.

Music scholarship: On January 20, 2023, auditions for the Music 11+ programme will be held. If a candidate passes the entrance exam and is at or above the Grade 4/5 level on her primary instrument, she is qualified to compete for the Music Scholarship.

Bromley High School GDST Bursaries and Scholarships 

The scholarships are given out to encourage growth and recognise ability. Academic, art, drama, music, and sport scholarships are available for students in the Senior School (11+) and Sixth Form (16+). Awards are given without taking parental wealth into account. Academic Scholarship eligibility is automatically determined for all ladies taking the entrance exam. Please sign up for a parent account and complete the appropriate Scholarship Application Form if you want your daughter to be considered for an Art, Drama, Music, or Sports Scholarship.
