Please be aware that the deadline for Year 7 registration and scholarship applications is Monday, November 21, 2022. Applications for Year 9 expire in January 2023. Please contact the Admissions staff at admissions@rhsb.gdst.net for information on any other Senior School year groups.

2023 Royal High Bath 11 Plus Exam Format 

The parts that make up Leicester High School For Girls’ 11+ exam are English and Maths. 

The reading comprehension and writing portions of the English test are meant to be evaluated. The essay is divided into two sections: Section A, which contains a reading assignment, and Section B. (includes a writing task). Each task calls for a 30-minute commitment from the youngster.

The maths test is particularly made to provide the kid a chance to show off their aptitude for maths and problem-solving. The questions don’t include multiple choices; they are in a conventional format.

2023 Royal High Bath 11 Plus Admissions Timeline

Step 1: Tour  Visiting the SchoolVisit the school on a regular school day by scheduling a tour.Meet the Head, Mrs. Kate Reynolds, and the admissions team while on a tour with students. There are some Saturday tours available; for information on the upcoming Saturday tour dates, please contact Ro Molyneux in the Admissions Team.
Step 2: Taster Day Participate on one of the taster days to get a feel for school life. There are six total, one for each half of the academic year. Please be aware that there are presently only eight spots available every Taster Day.
Step 3: RegisterApply online by filling out the Registration Form. Year 7 applications must be submitted by November 2021. (for September 2022 places). The deadlines for Year 12 candidates’ scholarship applications are in October 2021 and Year 9 applicants’ are in January 2022.
Step 4: Assessment All Year 7–10 pupils meet with the Head, and we ask their present school to provide a reference.Year 7: CAT4 online exam, English writing, and head and head of year 7 interviews.Year 8 | Maths, EnglishYear 9 | Science, Math, and EnglishEnglish, maths, and science in grade 10Sixth grade Students meet with the Head of Sixth Form, and we ask their present school to provide a reference that includes expected GCSE scores. English and maths tests will be administered to international students, and we may also request that they take tests in the IB or A-level courses of their choice.

Girls who sign up to attend Royal High School Bath are invited to apply for scholarships when they begin in Year 7 (11+), Year 9 (13+), and Year 12 as they begin in the Sixth Form.

Open Days

Come to one of the Open Events to learn firsthand from the students about the welcoming, demanding, and inclusive atmosphere at Royal High School Bath and how the girls are Making Their Mark. Members of the academic, pastoral, early years, and boarding teams will be available to address any questions you may have.

Beyond the Classroom

Music: At Royal High School Bath, music is a passion. The school places a high value on extracurricular music programmes that provide students of all abilities the chance to participate. They can choose from ten different music ensembles, such as the jazz band, pop and rock choir, brass ensemble, samba band, choir, voicecalise, and orchestra, among others.

Sports: They have the opportunity to participate in several GDST tournaments in the sporting world. Gymnastics, dancing, cross-country running, netball, hockey, tennis, cricket, athletics, golf, and swimming competitions are contested. In addition, Royal High ladies frequently compete against students from neighbouring schools in a variety of regional, national, and local tournaments.
