Notting Hill and Ealing Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
The London 11+ Consortium includes Notting Hill & Ealing High School. The identical admission exam is administered to all Consortium member institutions. The typical major entrance point for NHEHS’s Senior School is Year 7, and admittance is based on how well students score on the test. The selection of students for year seven is based on their performance on the entrance exam and interview, as well as a character reference from their existing school. 2023 Notting Hill and Ealing 11 Plus Exam Format
Applicants for Year 7 must pass Bespoke online assessment which has two-parts. English, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics, and Verbal Reasoning are all covered in Part 1; problem-solving and analytical problems are in Part 2. There won’t be any written tests. The Consortium has used this evaluation to gauge students’ general academic performance and potential as well as their analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Notting Hill and Ealing High School GDST Bursaries and Scholarships
NHEHS provides intellectual, musical, and athletic scholarships for 11+ entrance. These scholarships can range in value, but they typically cover around 10% of the cost of attendance. Bursaries, however, can be used to complement scholarships.

Beyond the Classroom
Students can participate in a variety of organisations and societies, or if we haven’t thought of one yet, they can build one from scratch. They can succeed in a sports team or just play for pleasure. They can act in a play or work backstage.
There are a variety of lunchtime and after-school activities available, and what is offered varies from term to term. Sixth Formers and staff members both organise clubs, and the school has a “Co-curricular Fair” at the start of each term to promote club sign-ups. This day on the school calendar is quite popular, and the afternoon is jam-packed with activities.

- What percentage of females attend junior school? How many students are in each class? What is the student-to-teacher ratio?
The number of females attending our junior school is about 300. Every year, there are two classes. We have 20 students in each class in Reception, Years 1 and 2, and Years 3 through 8 (KS2), with 24 students in each class. In KS1, there is a class teacher and a teaching assistant in every class. In KS2, there is one teaching assistant split across the two year group classes and one instructor for each class.
- Which languages are available to females at the junior school?
Beginning in Year 1, girls begin taking Mandarin classes. In extracurricular clubs, pupils can start learning French in Year 2 and German in Year 3.
- What musical options do you have?
With timetabled lessons for choir and music beginning in Year 1 with our Junior School Director of Music, music is a significant component of the curriculum. Girls can participate in taster sessions to try out several instruments in Year 2. The majority of instruments (violin, harp, flute, cello, clarinet, recorder, drums, piano, and keyboard) are available for individual private instruction throughout the school day beginning in Year 3.
