FAQ

  • How do you help students settle in when they first join the school?

Each form class has at least two form tutors who are committed to giving each student individualised support. Additionally, there are Year 13 form helpers, and each Year 7 student gets a Year 8 friend who may provide guidance and support. When a student needs someone their own age to talk to, trained Sixth Form Peer Mentors are also on hand to help.

  • How do you develop relationships with parents?

There are several opportunities for parents, tutors, and teachers to interact, and they are eager to work with parents. Parents are invited to visit the school even before the pupils begin Year 7 so they may get to know the teachers and other parents. The staff and parents have the chance to get to know one another during welcome receptions, parents’ evenings, parent talks, plays, and concerts. In Year 7, tutor dinners are also planned for the parents throughout the Autumn term. At these gatherings, parents and tutors can relax and get to know one another while enjoying supper and drinks. It is encouraged for parents and tutors to communicate frequently.
