Leicester High School for Girls is an independent day school for girls aged 3–18. The School is located in South Knighton, Leicester, England. The School was Founded in 1906 as Portland House School by Mrs. Holles now comprises a Junior Department of around 100 girls (3–9 years) and a Senior School of around 250 girls (aged 10–18) sited on the same campus.

In 2022 A Levels, 96% of students secured a palace at their first choice of university, 50% achieved straight A/A*, 90% grades A*-B.

Leicester High School Girls Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
Parents must fill out a registration form and submit it to the school along with a registration fee of £85 in order to enrol their children. A copy of the child’s passport and birth certificate are also required by the school. The admission test for the school is scheduled for January.
Your daughter’s abilities in two different subject areas will be tested on the admission exam. If she is successful, she could get a place offer. Please be aware that acceptance requires payment of a £250 reservation fee.
2023 Leicester High School for Girls 11+ Exam Format
The parts that make up Leicester High School For Girls’ 11+ exam are English and Maths.
The reading comprehension and writing portions of the English test are meant to be evaluated. The essay is divided into two sections: Section A, which contains a reading assignment, and Section B. (includes a writing task). Each task calls for a 30-minute commitment from the youngster.
The maths test is particularly made to provide the kid a chance to show off their aptitude for maths and problem-solving. The questions don’t include multiple choices; they are in a conventional format.
Leicester High School for Girls Bursaries and Scholarships
Scholarships are given out in recognition of extraordinary academic achievement and promise for success. They do not have a means test, and those financed by the school cover 5% to 25% of the tuition. We also collaborate closely with the Sir Thomas White Trust, which has recently given us a number of Sixth Form Scholarships worth up to 100%.
Expectations and duties come with being a student at the School. Scholars are expected to approach their academic work responsibly and engage completely in school activities.
