King Edward VI Camp Hill Boys 11 Plus Admissions Process: 2024 Entry
The Grammar Schools of Birmingham Consortium, which establishes the admissions standards in the West Midlands, includes King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys. Because Camp Hill for Boys is a very exclusive school, admission is based on student achievement on the 11 Plus test. Only students who achieve the necessary standard on this assessment will be given consideration for a Year 7 spot. All prospective Year 7 students at Camp Hill Boys are chosen for admission based on their combined, age-standardised 11 Plus exam score, much like all grammar schools in Birmingham. To be eligible for a spot, students must receive the minimal “qualifying score” on the exam.
Parents must first register their kid with the Grammar Schools of Birmingham Consortium in order to apply for a Year 7 spot at King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys. The next step is for parents to fill out a Local Authority (LA) Preference form, on which they can list up to six schools that they like. Each application must be taken into consideration by the LA.
Early in March, the local LA will send out the results of the 11 Plus exam.

There are two test papers in the King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys 11 Plus exam, and each one lasts for around 60 minutes. The papers are divided into sections that each have a designated time limit and cover:

- Mathematics
- Verbal and spatial reasoning
Inference is one of the comprehension abilities tested on the English Comprehension exam. There won’t be any writing involved.
