The Grange School is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 4 to 18 established in 1933. The School is located in Northwich, Cheshire, England. The School is a member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference. The School now educates around 1,170 students, the current headmistress is Dr. Lorraine Earps.
Almost three quarters of all GCSE entries were at grades 7 to 9, outperforming the last set of public examinations, 51% of all GCSE entries were at the top grades of 8 or 9, 90% of all GCSE grades in Art, Graphic Design, 3D Design and Textiles were at 7-9, 40% of all grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physics were at grade 9
In 2022 A Levels, Over 80% of students qualified for their first choice university, 39% of grades are A*, which is almost three times the national average, 71% of all grades A*-A, 89% of all grades A*-B.

The Grange School Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
Parents should fill out the online application form if they want their kid to be evaluated for a place in Year 7 at The Grange. The payment of a non-refundable registration fee is part of this. In February of Year 6, The Grange had its admission examination. Additionally, a questionnaire about the candidates’ interests may be provided for them to complete. According to performance on the entrance exam and a report from their present school, places are offered. A $250 acceptance deposit is required.
2023 The Grange School 11+ Exam Format
The Grange School’s 11+ test includes the following components: CEM, Select, test online.
CEM Select evaluates candidates’ abilities in verbal, nonverbal, and numerical reasoning and is intended to let them show off their academic aptitude.
The Grange School Bursaries and Scholarships
Academic scholarships are given out by the head of the senior school each year after the entrance exam. These depend on exceptional outcomes being obtained in each and every component used. Following the marking of the evaluation papers, decisions about the number of offers and their value will be made. Since it is anticipated that all applicants would be vying for open scholarships, no extra paperwork is required.
Auditions are held each January for students starting Year 7 the following September for the senior school music scholarship. Please be aware that the minimum criterion is Grade 4 standard with a recognised Examining Board in either two instruments or one instrument and voice.
