St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School FAQs
- What enrichment activities do you provide?
Numerous student-run organisations exist, including the Dance Society, Feminist Society, Medical Society, and Debate Society. In order to create a society, students should see Mr. Hinnem, Mr. Ward, or Mrs. Sheehy. Students are encouraged to operate their own societies (with staff help). Sports for the sixth form are played every Friday at noon. Following the epidemic, the school is beginning to revive its great schedule of excursions and instructional visits. These will occur throughout the sixth form and within departments. We encourage students to participate in events. A Year 13 team placed second in an international economics competition last year, and we advanced to the Debate Mace finals of the English Speaking Society.
- How do teacher support students outside of lessons?
Many departments provide clinics at lunchtime or after school where students can go to get assistance from a topic expert.
Our staff members are committed to assisting students; if a student needs assistance, they should approach a staff member and schedule a meeting to discuss their requirements.
