Located in Hampton, London, Lady Eleanor Holles School is a private day school for girls. St Helen’s School Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry 

St Helen’s School, London, one of the 14 schools that now make up the London Consortium, abides by its Agreed Code of Practice. Year 7 is the primary entry point to St. Helen’s School, and prospective pupils are required to complete an online entrance exam.

2023 St Helen’s School 11+ Exam Format 

The two-part, customised online test covers a wide range of skills and measures both knowledge and potential. English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Mathematics are all covered in Part 1. Exercises in problem-solving and analysis make up Part 2. There won’t be a written portion to the test.

St Helen’s School Bursaries and Scholarships 

Academic: Annually, academic awards worth up to 40% of Senior School tuition are given out. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and are unrelated to the financial situation of the family. All applicants who take our admission exams are given consideration for an academic scholarship, which is given depending on the results of the entrance exam and interview. There isn’t a separate application or test for the scholarship.

Music: An academically talented candidate who is also an exceptional musician is granted a Music Scholarship at Year 7 admission, worth up to a maximum of 30% savings on tuition costs per year, including free tuition on one instrument. The Grade 5 standard or higher on one instrument is required for applicants to the Music Scholarship.

Sport: The 11+ Sport Scholarship is designed to recognise athletic success and potential and grants a maximum 20% tuition price reduction annually. All candidates are required to submit a portfolio detailing their athletic accomplishments, along with references from their present PE teacher or class (for external candidates only) and, if necessary, an outside coach.

Beyond the Classroom

All St. Helen’s students, regardless of age, take part in a variety of extracurricular activities that go beyond what is taught in the classroom. These activities actually enrich their experiences and horizons and help them develop the character qualities that will prepare them for adulthood. The co-curricular programme expands and gets even more engaging as students go into senior school. FAQ

• When will the new Consortium entrance test be available?

Year 6 students who are entering senior school in September 2023 will be the first applicants for the new Consortium entrance exam, which will be administered in December 2022.

• What important dates and times do I need to be aware of?

Any Consortium school must receive applications by Friday, November 11, 2022. There are three test dates: Friday, December 2, Tuesday, December 6, and Thursday, December 8. No matter how many Consortium schools a candidate applies to, they just need to take the evaluation once. Offers will be sent out on Friday, February 10, and acceptances must be received by Monday, March 6, at noon. On one of the three assessment dates, if she is enrolled in a Consortium school, she may have a morning or an afternoon assessment. The precise commencement time for their sitting will be provided by the schools.

• What will be evaluated during the new admission test?

There will be five different parts, which will be included in the following order:

• Maths takes 20 minutes.
• For non-verbal reasoning, 10 minutes
• 30 minutes are allotted for verbal reasoning and English comprehension.
• A 30 minute BREAK
• 15 minutes to solve problems
• 25 minutes for the part of the analysis
