Jersey College for Girls is a college founded in 1880, providing girls’ education up to and including A-levels for pupils aged 11-18 in Jersey for over 125 years. The headteacher of the College is Mr Carl Howarth.
In 2022 GCSEs, 81% of all grades were at the highest Grades of 9 – 7, with 32% of all grades being awarded Grade 9. The average set of grades was 5x Grade 8 and 5x Grade 7. In 2022 A Levels, more than 57% achieving A* or A grades and 86% achieving A* – B grades.

Jersey College for Girls Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
There aren’t any official entry tests; the school will instead look at your child’s Year 6 CAT results. References from your daughter’s existing school’s head will also be taken into account. Please be aware that if a spot is available, you will need to pay a £400 deposit to reserve it.
Once the College receives a completed online application to the College and an administration fee of £80.00, the admissions process may commence (Please note the administration fee is only applicable for Years 7-11 applications). By registering, you authorise us to add your kid to our applicant list and to contact you regarding your application. Admission to the College is not a requirement for registration. 2023 Jersey College for Girls 11+ Exam Format
There isn’t an official 11+ test at Jersey College for Girls. Students are accepted based on their Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) results. Entry will be considered for students whose CATs mean score is 100 or higher. Students should become familiar with the format of the test in order to prepare for this assessment: The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) evaluates verbal, non-verbal, spatial, and quantitative reasoning through a series of modules.
Jersey College for Girls Bursaries and Scholarships
For students whose parents would not otherwise be able to send their daughter to the college, financial aid is provided. We want to provide education to all Jersey-based female students who fulfil our academic admittance requirements. Your family may be eligible for financial aid from a variety of sources to help cover all or a portion of the tuition costs. Amounts up to £1000 year are also granted in addition to the fees to help with supplemental expenses. Our school has students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, and your request will be handled with the utmost confidentiality. The Principal and the Clerk to the Governing Body administer financial support on behalf of the Governing Body.
