Colfe’s School 11 Plus Guide

It might be difficult to find your way around the 11 Plus the first time as a parent. How do you aid your kid in getting ready for the Colfe’s School 11 Plus Exam? What kind of exam structure is it? Colfe’s School is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 3-18, located in southeast London, England. The School is one of the oldest schools in London and it is a member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference. The current headmaster is Mr Richard Russell. The School has a capacity of 1200 and now educates around 1251 students. In 2022, 37.5% of GCSE grades were graded 9, with 84% attaining 9/8/7.

In 2022, 39.5% of A-levels were graded at A*, rising to 71.7% at A*/A.

Colfe’s School Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry 

You must then submit an application form and a non-refundable administration fee after the event. The online admission exams for your kid will be administered in January of the entering year. After the examinations, there is a lunch break and an afternoon of sample STEM, arts, and culture sessions. Successful candidates will be invited to a senior staff member’s office for an interview. If a spot is available, you will need to pay a deposit to secure it.

2023 Colfe’s School 11+ Exam Format 

The following tests are included in Colfe’s School’s 11+ examination:

  • English (paper-based) 
  • Mathematics (online) 

Grammar and inference are among the comprehension abilities tested on the English exam. It evaluates technical English proficiency as well.

The maths online test evaluates candidates’ problem-solving and mathematical ability.

Colfe’s School Bursaries and Scholarships 

11+ (Year 7 entry) 

Academic: To students joining the school in Year 7 who display remarkable ability on the entrance examination and  will significantly contribute to the life of the school, they grant academic excellence and means-tested scholarships. It is also taken into account if an applicant does especially well in the interview.

Co-curricular: Our strategy of awarding a small number of scholarships in music, sport, drama, and art is a reflection of the value placed on Colfe’s broader curriculum. These are given out following individual auditions and evaluations (which may include interviews and reference checks), and the recipients are informed in their offer letters. Open Days

By taking tours of the junior and senior schools and hearing from students and staff, you can experience the best of the school community by visiting Virtual Colfe’s, the online admissions centre. The September 2024 entrance process will start in the fall of 2023. Please check back during the summer semester for further information.
