Channing School Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
The London Consortium, of which Channing School is a member, has an agreed-upon code of practice. Year 7 is the primary entry point to Channing School, and students are admitted based on their achievement on the school’s entrance exam.
After the test, pupils are expected to participate in an interview that will judge their originality and general intellect. Channing wants to use the interview to make sure it can accommodate the student’s needs. The girl’s present school is asked to provide a reference as well.
There are three parts to the school’s admissions process:
1.School reference
Following your application, we request a confidential reference for your daughter from her current school’s headteacher. This gets recorded in her admissions file.
2. Assessment
On December 8th, there will be a Channing 11+ Assessment. Channing is simply providing the assessment on this day. Your daughter can take the assessment in any of the London 11+ Consortium schools you have applied to if it conflicts with your schedule.
3. Interviews
All applicants are invited to a face-to-face interview by Channing. Parents will receive a personalised email with an interview time specific to their daughter for this in January 2023. For candidates who are abroad, an online interview will be set up.
