The Stephen Perse Foundation is formed by a group of independent schools, located in Cambridge and Saffron Walden. The School is for students aged 1 to 18. The Foundation consists of 3 nurseries for ages 1–5, 2 Junior Schools for ages 5–11, a Senior School for ages 11–16; and the Stephen Perse Sixth Form, for students aged 16–18. Stephen Ward is the principal for the senior school and sixth form of Stephen Perse Foundation.
In 2022 GCSEs, 37% of GCSEs graded the top score of 9, 60% of GCSEs graded 9-8, 79% of GCSEs graded 9-7. Over 10% of the student cohort achieved at least 9 grade 9s. Stephen Perse Foundation Admissions Guide for 11 Plus Entry
You must fill out a registration form, which is available for download on the website, in order to request a spot for your kid at the Stephen Perse Foundation. After transferring the £200 registration money to the school by bank transfer, the completed form should only be sent back. Early December of the year before to admission is the registration deadline. Tests, a group activity, and a general interview with a senior staff member are all part of the admissions process for the Stephen Perse Foundation Senior School. The head teacher of your child’s present school will be asked to provide a reference for the Foundation as well.
2023 Stephen Perse Foundation 11+ Exam Format
The Stephen Perse Foundation’s 11+ test consists of the following parts: CAT 4 (Cognitive Abilities Test), Comprehension and creative writing and Maths practise.
The Verbal, Non-Verbal, Spatial, and Quantitative Reasoning modules of the CAT examination are intended to evaluate developed reasoning skills.
The English test looks at inference, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar as well as comprehension and writing abilities.
The maths test evaluates your child’s aptitude for computation and problem-solving.

We provide a co-educational route for all of our boys and girls in Nursery through Sixth Form, aged 1 through 18 at all of our schools.
- What are the possibilities of visiting the school?
We provide a number of open days throughout the year when you may see the buildings and chat with school administrators about our principles and methods of instruction. Dates for these Open Days are always listed on our website, where reservations may also be made.
- Do you have the capacity to provide my kid with the additional learning help that they require?
A Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) provides direction to each of our schools, and if your child needs assistance, we will work with you to make sure that their needs are addressed. Please note that your kid has SEND when submitting an application under “Confidential Information” and include your child’s EdPsych report together with any supporting documentation.
- Is there a time limit on when I may apply?
