  • Fill out the GDST bursary application form in Step 2.

Once you’ve submitted an application for admission to NGHS, we’ll provide you a link to the GDST bursary application form, where you may list your income and assets.

  • Assessing your financial eligibility is step three.

The GDST will determine if you are eligible for a bursary, inform us of your status, and confirm the maximum amount of financial support we are able to provide you.

  • Academic evaluation at step four

Year 7: In addition to the regular NGHS application evaluations, there are no extra tests. The Deputy Head interview, an admission exam, and references from the ladies’ existing schools are a few of these.

Year 12: Bursary offers won’t be offered until the August release of the GCSE results. Please get in touch with the school before submitting an application if you’re interested in a bursary.

  • Verification of the reward

Year 7: If you are qualified and your daughter demonstrated remarkable performance throughout our admission evaluation process, we will award your daughter a scholarship at the same time as we offer her a spot at NGHS. At this time, we will also confirm the amount of financial aid we will be able to provide.

Nottingham Girls Bursaries and Scholarships

Academic Scholarships: These prizes, which are available to girls entering Year 7, honour exceptional academic aptitude and skill. Girls who enrol in Year 7 at the newly opened NGHS Junior School will also be eligible for a second scholarship.

Intellectual scholarships have historically been given out based on success in admission exams and academic aptitude. They can be augmented by a stipend and typically amount to 5–10% of the total tuition during a girl’s tenure at the school.

Scholarships for the performing arts

These prizes, which are offered to girls entering Year 7, offer a 10% tuition price discount and were introduced in 2017 to commemorate the inauguration of our new Performing Arts Center.

Scholarships for music

The Key Stage 3 Music Scholarships, which provide free music instruction for three years, are open to girls entering Year 7.

Scholarships for athletes

Girls entering Year 7 may apply for this scholarship, which covers 10% of the tuition. We look for exceptional talent in one particular sport as well as great potential across a variety of sports.

Taster Day is on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm if your daughter is currently in Year 5 and you’re looking for a school that offers exceptional teaching and learning in a demanding yet fun and friendly environment. Visit here for more information.

Beyond the Classroom

We offer a wide range of enrichment and extracurricular options in addition to their first-rate academic curriculum so that all of the girls have the chance to learn something new, perfect their special talents and abilities, and go outside of their comfort zones. It’s simply one of the strong arguments that influence families to pick NGHS.

The girls benefit much from more than just a top-notch education. We provide females significant advantages as they progress through the school system, into higher education, and/or into the workforce by offering a wealth of leadership possibilities and broadening their perspectives. We are left with a well-rounded team. Because of what they learn here, in the classroom and beyond, they are intelligent, creative, self-assured, and adventurous.
